Today was our dry-run of the Wall, so to speak. We got on the bus at 5am for a 3-hour drive to the village of Huangya Guan where the race starts. They call this "inspection day”, which I thought meant they were going to inspect us to see if we had the proper shoes, etc, but it really meant we had to walk the length of the wall that we’d be running on Saturday. Isn’t the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? Why did I think this would be less painful 2 times in a row? Despite the pain, the views from the Wall are breathtaking. (Click here to see ALL pictures.)
